به گزارش خبرگزاری فرانسه از هوستون، سازمان فضایی آمریکا (ناسا) اعلام کرد:

جان گرانسفلد و درو فوستل نخستین راهپیمایی از پنج راهپیمایی فضایی این ماموریت را در ساعت دوازده و پنجاه و دو دقیقه به وقت گرینویچ آغاز کردند.

قرار است ماموریت آنها شش تا هفت ساعت به درازا بکشد.
